Affection is the basis of all lasting relationships, but must be channeled properly in order for each relationship to bring satisfaction to both parties. A married man's mistress, for example, often has conflicting feelings: affection coupled with insecurity. Relationships based mainly on personal attraction, especially those which are outside the mainstream, require special caution and tactful reserve.
